New Delhi/UNI: The Jawans of Indo-Tibetan Border Police on Monday celebrated the festival of colours, Holi, at an altitude of 17,000 feet near Galwan at the India-China border.

"17,000 feet Ladakh #Holi. How's the josh boys...Very very very high! ITBP troops celebrating #Holi2021," the ITBP tweeted sharing a video of Jawans celebrating Holi by dancing on a white blanket of snow.

Holi is widely celebrated among the people of the Hindu community, signifying the triumph of good over evil.

The troops were seen smudging the faces of their colleagues with colours.

In the middle of last year, the situation became tense at the Galwan valley as Indian and Chinese troops clashed over the border dispute, leading to casualties on both sides.
