Four Jaish militants killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Dec 29 (IBNS) :Four Jeish-e-Muhammad militants were  shot dead by security forces during an encounter in south Kashmir's  Pulwama district on Saturday morning, media reports said quoting the police.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving specific information from intelligence agencies about the presence of terrorists in Rajpora village's Hanjan area under the district

While that the security forces were conducting searches, the terrorists fired on them from their hiding place leading to a gun battle.

Their identity of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately. The area witnessed intense clashes between locals and security forces after the killings. Internet has been snapped as a precautionary measure.
