Four GNLA militants surrender in Meghalaya

Guwahati, Feb 24 (IBNS): Four militants of Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) surrendered before the Meghalaya police on Friday.

The surrendered Garo militants were identified as Kamdak, Dakchak, Gotjen and Kolgrik

The militants laid down arms before the East Garo Hills SP at Williamnagar.

They deposited two AK series rifles, one SLR and several rounds ammunition.

{image_2}The Garo militant group is active in the Garo hills districts and some parts of lower Assam and are beleived to close with Paresh Baruah led ULFA (I).

it has been alleged that the militant group had set up several camps in Bangladesh.
