Former Karnataka CM Yediyurappa rubbishes claims of BJP neglecting him

| @indiablooms | Dec 15, 2022, at 09:36 pm

Bengaluru/UNI: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday denied speculations of opposition that he was being neglected by the BJP.

"There is no truth in it. The party is not neglecting me. I have built the party. Also worked hard to bring it to power.

"People of the state know this pretty well," he told reporters here before leaving for Koppal to attend the inauguration of the party's district office.

The opposition are making such speculations after Yediyurappa was apparently not invited for the Koppal meeting where BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai are attending.

The former CM said he was invited at the last minute and thought he would not be able to make it, however, he changed his mind. "I am going now," he stated.

Further clearing the air, Yediyurappa said the party is united and has only one agenda of bringing it back to power in the state.

He also said there is a pro-BJP wave in the state due to the leadership of Narendra Modi, Nadda and Amit Shah.

"I will make the much-needed efforts to bring the party back to power in the state and to realise it, I will travel across the state to achieve the target," he said.
