Guwahati, July 31 (IBNS): Family members of former President of India Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed are among the 40 million people, who are left out of the complete draft of the updated National Register of Citizens (NRC), published by the Assam government on Monday.

Ziauddin Ali Ahmed, son of the country’s fifth president’s brother Late Ekramuddin Ali Ahmed, his wife and two sons have failed to find their names in the complete draft of NRC.

They are now living at Kalmoni Barhampur village under Jayantipur gram panchayat near Rangia town in Assam’s Kamrup district.

None of the family members' names were included in the complete draft of NRC.

The Assam government on Monday published the complete draft of NRC by including the names of 2.89 crore persons out of 3.29 crore applicants.

Ziauddin said that, he would try to find out the necessary documents to ensure his family members' names are included in the list.
