Flood alter in Assam after incessant rainfall
Guwahati, June 10 (IBNS): A flood alert has been issued in Assam after heavy rainfall has affected over 80,000 people in the north eastern state.
Incessant rains over the last week caused several rivers, including the Brahmaputra, to overflow.
The overflowing rivers have reportedly breached embankments, inundating villages and damaging standing crop.
The districts of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji in eastern Assam have been worst hit.
