Fire in LIC office in Mumbai

Mumbai/UNI: A fire broke out in Life Insurance Corporation's (LIC) office building at Vile Parle in Mumbai on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 7 am on the ground plus two-storey structure on S V Road at Vile Parle here.

However, no casualty has been reported so far, fire officials informed. Eight fire tenders are rushed to douse the flame.

The fire is confined to the electric wiring, installation, computers, file records, wooden furniture, etc. in the Salary Saving Scheme section.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, he added.
