Fifteen injured in collision between bus and truck in Khunti

Khunti/UNI:  As many as 15 people were injured following a collision between a bus and a truck which took place near Karo river under Torpa Police Station area of this district today.

After knowing about the incident, the locals gathered at the spot and took the victims with the help of police who were later rushed to the near-by government hospital. On the other hand, the truck driver and cleaner were taken into custody and both of them were found to be drunk.

Police said that the bus was coming from Simdega towards Ranchi while the truck was coming from Torpa and both the vehicles ended up having a head-on collision after which the bus overturned next to the road.
