Mumbai, Jul 6 (UNI) In the latest incident of misconduct by a public representative, Shiv Sena corporator and former city mayor Milind Vaidya was caught on camera while allegedly hurling abuses and assaulting chicken-laden truck drivers here over the parking issue.

In the video clip that has gone viral on social media, Vaidya is purportedly seen slapping drivers transporting chicken and hurling abuses at them in the Mahim area of Mumbai.

In the five-minute video, which surfaced Friday, the Sena corporator is heard saying that locals are facing problems due to illegal parking of trucks carrying live chicken.

Vaidya says he has had raised issue of the illegal parking by these trucks in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, ruled by the Shiv Sena, multiple times, but nothing has happened so far.

"But no action has been taken against them...so being the corporator of the area, I have taken the law into my hands and evicting these people from here," he is heard saying in the clip.

When contacted, the officials at Mahim police station said so far no one has come forward to lodge a complaint but if any one approaches them, then they will take an appropriate action.
