Elderly man dies in road mishap in Bihar

Bhabhua, Jun 5 (UNI) An elderly person died in a road mishap on National Highway 2 near Khamidora village under Durgawati police station area in Kaimur district today.

Police said that Ramjatan Thakur (70), a native of Khamidora village was killed when he was hit by a speeding truck.

Sources said Thakur was crossing the road when his end came.

After the accident, the driver of the truck escaped from the spot abandoning his truck on the spot. The body has been sent for autopsy, police added.
