Eight soldiers trapped as avalanche hits army post at Siachen
New Delhi/IBNS: At least eight Indian soldiers are trapped in the snow after an avalanche hit the army position in the Siachen glacier, media reports said.
According to reports, the soldiers were a part of a patrolling group.
The avalanche has hit the army position at 3.30 pm in the northern glacier at an altitude of 18,000 feet.
Presently, rescue operations are underway to rescue the soldiers.
