Kolkata/IBNS/UNI: The Enforcement Directorate's grilling of actress-turned-Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) state president Saayoni Ghosh at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake, in relation to the teachers' recruitment scam in the West Bengal Government- aided schools and purchase of a flat, still continues even after nine hours on Friday.

"I will extend cooperation with the officials 100 percent as far as my ability, "the TMC youth wing president told the waiting media persons before entering the CGO office.

"I arrived within 48 hours after being summoned even after I was busy campaigning for the election," Ghosh said.

She appeared before the scheduled time at 11:30 AM to the ED officials, who are probing the money trails in the alleged teachers' recruitment scam across West Bengal.

According to sources, the ED probing officials include a lady official.

Saayoni Ghosh's name allegedly came up during the questioning of another accused and incarcerated Kuntal Ghosh, official sources added.

On being asked about her terms with Kuntal, Saayoni said, "I will talk to them (investigators)."

Former state education minister Partha Chatterjee, former primary education board president and Trinamool MLA Manik Bhattacharya are among the people who have been arrested so far in connection with the scam.

Partha and his close-aide Arpita Mukherjee were arrested in the cases after a huge cash (about Rs 50 crore) was recovered from the latter's two flats.

TMC MP and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee too was quizzed by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the same case.
