New Delhi/UNI: A 52-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide in his South Delhi residence on Saturday.

A suicide note was recovered from his body, police said.

In the note the deceased blamed AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal for his death, police said.

The Neb Sarai Police station received the information about the suicide around 6:17 hours.

The doctor had allegedly committed suicide in his Durga Vihar residence by hanging himself from ceiling, police added.

The investigating team inspected the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

His son filed a complaint against Deoli AAP MLA Jarwal and his associate in Kapil Nagar for allegedly threatening his father.

Based on the complaint of the son of the deceased, the police have registered a case for abetment to suicide and extortion at Neb Sarai Police Station.

The police informed that the deceased doctor used to run a clinic at Durga Vihar and also had a water tanker contract business.

Further probe is  underway in the matter.
