Dharmshala: Fire breaks out in hotel

Shimla, Jun 11 (UNI) Major Fire broke out from a LPG cylinder in a hotel unit at Bhagsu-nag near McLeod Ganj in Dharmshala causing panic among the occupants, police sources said on Tuesday. 

Sources said that incident occurred at 1945 hrs on Monday evening at Akashdeep hotel, when a cooking gas cylinder caught fire.


Fire tenders were pressed to spot from Dharmshala but due to heavy traffic jams and congestion, they arrived late.


The fire was brought under control by the employees of the hotel.


No loss of life was reported but property was claimed to be damaged.


The owner of the hotel unit is identified as Nagar Parishad, of Dharmshala.
