Denied permission to land, Yogi Adityanath to now reach West Bengal rally site by road

Kolkata, Feb 5 (IBNS): After he was denied to land his chopper in South Dinajpur district in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will now reach Purulia via roadway to address a rally in the state, media reports said.

According to reports, Adityanath will first land in Jharkhand and then take roadways to reach Purulia.

As per media reports, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's administration refused to give landing permissions to Yogi Adityanath.

"Adityanath’s helicopter will be landing in Bokaro, Jharkhand and then he will be going to Purulia in West Bengal by road to address a public rally there later today," reported Times Now.

On Tuesday Adityanath tweeted in Hindi: "Today, I will visit Purulia and stand as a face of opposition for the corruption alliance partners."

On Sunday, he had addressed the "Ganatantra Bachao (save the republic) rally" in South Dinajpur district through the phone.

The West Bengal government on Sunday reportedly denied permission to Yogi Adityanath to land his chopper in the state.

Adityanath was scheduled to address two rallies in north Bengal-one at Raiganj and Balurghat.

The UP CM's office stated that the permission was denied without any prior notice.

Mamata asks Yogi to take care of his state first:

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee, who is currently on a dharna in Kolkata since Sunday against CBI move against Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar, told reporters when asked about Yogi's rally: "Ask Yogi to take care of Uttar Pradesh first."
