New Delhi/UNI: Kanta Prasad, the owner of 'Baba ka Dhaba' in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar, allegedly attempted suicide and is being treated in Safdarjung Hospital.

Prasad, 81, was rushed to the hospital after he fell unconscious post consuming alcohol with sleeping pills on Thursday night, police said.

He shot to fame last year after a video of his humble eatery went viral on social media in which he was talking about his financial woes and thinning crowd at his eatery.

He got funds with which he opened a restaurant but unfortunately suffered huge losses after which it was shut down.
