New Delhi, Jan 31 (IBNS) In a bid to attract voters and recapture power, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday released its manifesto for the Feb 7 Delhi assembly elections where it promised a full statehood for the national capital.

The party also promised to reduce power tariff and enhance women's safety in the national capital.

The party has come out with a 70-point agenda for the polls which will see a battle between the AAP, the BJP and the Congress.

" Acting within constitutional framework AAP will use its moral nd political authority to push fr full statehood for Delhi," the party said.

"Aam Aadmi Party government will keep its promise of reducing electricity bills by half," it said.

The party promised to make Wi-Fi freely available in public spaces across Delhi.

"AAP will set up Mahila Suraksha Dal or Women’s Security Force made up of a 10,000 strong Home Guard," it said.

In a bid to take action against crime, the party said: "AAP plans to install CCTV cameras in DTC buses, bus stands and in crowded places as a deterrent against crime."

It said: "AAP will ensure free lifeline water of up to 20 kiloliters (20,000 liters) to every household per month."

The party said it will provide water as a 'Right'.

The AAP said it will legislate the Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill after coming to power.

"Our manifesto is not a run-of-the-mill production of a few wise men. It is the synthesis of hundreds of expert interviews as well as thousands of citizen meetings and lakhs of feedback forms, online comments, email suggestions, project proposals and in keeping with the new age: Whatsapp messages, Tweets and Facebook comments," the party said in its website.
