Delhi Police arrest sharp shooter of underworld don Abu Salem
The arrested person has been identified as Jaan Usman aka Usman Khan aka Reenu.
Police said they have recovered one country made pistol along with three live cartridges from his possession.
"Crime Branch has arrestedone sharp shooter Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan @ Reenu (35 years) s/o Kamar Hussainr/o 1580/39, Tri Nagar, Sarai Rohilla, New Delhi, a sharp shooter of notoriousunderworld don Abu Salem gang. One country made pistol alongwith three livecartridges have been recovered from his possession," the Delhi Police said in a statement.
"He is involved in cases of fake Indiancurrency notes (FICN) trafficking, extortion, murder and Arms Act," read the statement.
Speaking further on the person, the statement said: "On 18.04.2015, informationwas received at Eastern Range of Crime Branch that one Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan@ Reenu, a sharp shooter of underworld don Abu Salem gang, is involved in several cases of FICN trafficking, Extortion, murder in Delhi and Mumbai. He had extended extortion threats to Mr. Anil Thadani (husband of famous Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon). He has been declared Proclaimed Offender in the cases of murder and Arms Act in Delhi. The information further entailed that he always carries illicit arms with him and would come at ISBT Kashmiri gate to meet some of his associate."
