Delhi Assembly polls: AAP MLA Surender Singh quits party

New Delhi/UNI:  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Surender Singh, who did not got the party ticket for the February 8 Delhi assembly polls, on Tuesday resigned from the party.

Singh, who won the last Assembly polls from Delhi Cantonment assembly constituency on AAP's ticket, posted his resignation letter in his twitter account.

"Today, I am resigning from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a heavy heart,' Mr Singh tweeted.

On January 14, the AAP declared its candidates from all 70 assembly seats.

The results of the polls will be declared on February 11.
