Deeply hurt by Ravi Shankar remarks: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Apr 4 (IBNS) Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said he is 'deeply hurt' by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's remarks against him.

"Pujya Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji. I am deeply hurt that u have written such strong sentiments against me," tweeted Kejriwal.

"I pray to God that some day I will be able to convince u that i am working only for the country and have no selfish motives," he posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"I sincerely hope that some day, I will be able to remove all ill feelings that u have against me," said Kejriwal.

"I have very deep respect for u and will continue to respect u always," he tweeted.

In an editorial in Hindustan Times, Ravi Shankar on Thursday said Kejriwal has left the country choiceless just like other politicians.

"When Kejriwal captured people’s imagination with his sharp activism during the anti-corruption movement, he was primed to give an alternative to Indian politics," said Ravi Shankar.

"But after his recent antics, there is a sense of being let down even among those who were once his staunch supporters. He came to give the country a choice, but has left the country choiceless," said the spiritual leader.
