Guwahati, Aug 3 (IBNS): In a sensational incident, a man declared dead by doctors was found alive in a government run hospital in Assam.

The shocking incident happened at Tinsukia civil hospital in Assam’s Tinsukia district where the man was kept in the morgue for three days.

The man has been identified as Mohammud Hussain and he was admitted at the government for his various ailments.

According to the reports, the man was brought to the government run hospital by his family members three days ago.

But the hospital authority had kept him in the morgue with other dead body for three days.

The doctor of the hospital declared the man dead and informed his family members.

When the family members and some local people on Friday had reached the hospital to take the dead body, then they found that, the man is still alive.

A local youth said that, it is totally irresponsible activity by the hospital authority.

“The patient was admitted here three days ago. The hospital authority didn’t pay any attention for treatment and the patient was kept with dead bodies. When we hear it we come forward to know that, why the alive man is being kept with other dead bodies. The wife of the man was informed that her husband died. Immediately we rushed here and found that, the man is still alive,” the youth said.

On the other hand, the Tinsukia civil hospital authority has also taken the responsibility of the incident.

“I have also accepted that it is an inhuman incident. It was the duty of our Sister-in-Charge as they should have had to take immediate action for it and also need to inform me if they failed. But they didn’t inform me. We will take appropriate measures to separate the dead bodies from the patient,” Tinsukia civil hospital Superintendent Dr N. C. Mahanta said.
