Cyclone: PM Modi shares pain of affected people in Vanuatu

New Delhi, Mar 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared his 'sorrow and pain ' of all those affected by the devastation caused by Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu last week.

"The devastation caused by Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu is extremely unfortunate. I share the sorrow and pain of all those who have been affected. MEA will provide immediate financial assistance to people of Vanuatu. We stand shoulder to shoulder with Vanuatu in this hour of grief," the Prime Minister said in a statement.

The storm hit Vanuatu on Saturday and left at least eight people dead.
