Mumbai, Mar 5 (IBNS): The CPI-M has suspended its Maharashtra state secretary, Narasayya Adam, from the central committee for three months for praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public event, which was held in Solapur, media reports said.

Adam had reportedly praised Modi and also Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for clearing a project of building 30,000 houses.

The Left leader was campaigning for the construction of the houses.

Adam had attended the foundation laying ceremony, which was attended by two BJP leaders, Modi and Fadnavis, on Jan 9.
