Mumbai/UNI: A special court here on Wednesday rejected the application by Vidhie Mukerjea, daughter of Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, seeking a court nod to permitting her to stay with her mother when she comes to India from the UK.

The application was rejected after prosecution the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) strongly opposed the plea on the grounds that the applicant is a prosecution witness and she is seeking court permission to stay with her mother who is one of the prime accused in the case.

The court was told that accused Indrani is trying to influence Vidhie, who it has cited as its prosecution witness.

It was also submitted that the Supreme court while granting the bail to Indrani imposed certain conditions on her which includes that she shall not contact any witnesses in the case and shall not try to tamper and hamper the evidence hence it will be a violation of Apex court directive, therefore, application be rejected which was agreed by the prosecution.
