Pune/UNI:  In a bid to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust shut the doors of Shirdi temple from Tuesday onwards.

Trust CEO Arun Dongre requested the devotees to defer their visits, so as to combat the deadly pandemic.

"As per the directives of the government, I request the devotees to postpone their visit to Shirdi for a few days,'' he stated.

On Monday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had asked all the District Collectors to ensure that there is no crowding at religious sites.
