Srinagar/UNI: A policeman was killed and three colleagues were wounded in a grenade attack in Kashmir on Friday afternoon, official sources said.

They said a militant hurled a grenade at a police party at north Kashmir's Bandipora town wounding the policemen.

“Four policemen were wounded in the attack... All four were shifted to a hospital where one was declared brought dead on arrival,” an official said.

The identity of the slain policeman could not be established immediately.

This is the second such attack on the police in Bandipora town since December 2021.

On December 10, Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Sultan and Constable Fayaz Ahmad were killed in a militant attack at Gulshan Chowk of Bandipora.
