Contraband drugs worth Rs 82 lakh seized in Manipur’s Moreh

Guwahati/IBNS: The troops of Assam Rifles  have seized contraband drugs worth Rs 82 lakh in Manipur’s Moreh town area along the Indo-Myanmar border.

After getting specific inputs from reliable sources, the Assam Rifles troops detained a vehicle at a check point at Moreh and while checking, the security personnel recovered 10 packets of heroin powder weighing about 120 grmas, 11 packets of brown sugar weighing about 132 grams and six packets containing 1200 numbers WY tablet from the vehicle.

Security personnel apprehended the driver of the vehicle and handed over him and seized drugs to Moreh police for further legal action.
