New Delhi/UNI: Congress on Thursday reviewed the party's preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections in Rajasthan and exuded confidence that it will retain power in the state.

A meeting was convened by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge with the leaders of its Rajasthan unit in the presence of top party leaders Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal at the party headquarters here, wherein they deliberated about the party's preparations for the upcoming Assembly polls, sources said.

"Public service, relief, and upliftment of all, Rajasthan is growing on the path of progress. Congress has taken the schemes of inclusive development and public welfare to every household in Rajasthan," Kharge wrote in a tweet after the meeting.

The Congress chief added, "Every section of society in Rajasthan is expressing its faith in the Congress. We will take care of everyone's aspirations. Both the present and future of Rajasthan are safe in the hands of Congress. History will change this time."

Meanwhile, Rahul also took to the microblogging site and wrote, "Congress will once again form the government in Rajasthan and will continue to work for the better future of the people."

Assembly elections in Rajasthan are scheduled to be held later this year.
