Congress leader Birender Singh joins BJP

Jind, Haryana, Aug 16 (IBNS) Chaudhary Birender Singh, a rebel leader from Congress in Haryana, on Saturday joined the BJP with its president Amit Shah present at the function at a rally here.

Singh is a Rajya Sabha MP who went on a warpath with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Ch. Birender Singh ( Dumerkha ) belongs to the Jat Community.

The 67-year-old is the Grandson of peasant leader Sir Chhotu Ram. His father Ch. Neki Ram was a politician in pre-partition Punjab.  

His associate  Jagbir Malik also joined the BJP.
