Complete lockdown not a solution to curb COVID-19: Maharashtra Health Minister

| @indiablooms | Mar 16, 2021, at 03:42 pm

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that a complete lockdown is not a solution to curb the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state, however, a few restrictions will be tightened.

The Health Minister appealed to the people last evening to cooperate by following the Covid-19 guidelines.

Currently, 85 per cent of infected patients have no symptoms. Therefore, most people are advised to separate their homes. As a result, there is no shortage of beds in the state at present, he said.

Tope believes that avoiding unnecessary crowds, using masks and frequent hand washing can help reduce the risk of infection.

Maharashtra is one of the worst affected states in the country.
