Outlining his vision for "Start-Up India, Stand-Up India" the Prime Minister said he gives more emphasis on the "personal sector" or individual individual entrepreneurs.
The participating business captains expressed confidence in the investment atmosphere in India.
The CEOs called for speeding up of television digitization, and strengthening of the Mobile Infrastructure.
The PM urged them to keep regional languages in mind, as they firm up investment plans for India.
Modi said the world is now in a technology- driven era, where growth of digital infrastructure is important.
The focus of the PM's meeting with media honchos was to understand about the trends in media and communication technologies and the opportunities for India.
Modi later tweeted that they had shown interest in the Indian government's Digital India initiative and said he had explained how India was a special place to invest:
