Chennai private school sacks nine head of departments

Chennai, June 4 (IBNS) A Chennai school has expelled Nine head of departments over forcing an alleged discriminatory fee structure.

The management of Bala Vidya Mandir private school has also sacked the principal and the CEO of the institution, reports said.

.Bala Vidya Mandir school had given parents options for school fees wherein a student will get better education and facilities if parents pay around Rs 60,000 per annum.

The other option given to the parents was to pay a fee of Rs 35,800 for which  which their children will be permitted to attend only few  hours of classes and will be denied more than 50 extra curricular activities and facilities. .

Opposing the discriminatory fee structure, parents and teachers are staging protests outside the  school.

Media reports quoted the parents as saying that  the sacking is arbitrary and unethical.

The fee determination committee has ordered a probe into the matter.
