Centre orders probe into security lapse in the Kempegowda International Airport

Bengaluru, Jun 22(UNI) Taking serious note about alleged incident of lapse in the security chekup, wherein seven passengers, including four women, were allowed to leave without security check at the Kempegowda International Airport Limited, the Union Home Ministry has ordered an inquiry into the security lapse.

According to official sources, on Monday last, seven passengers, including four women, arrived in two batches walked through to their flight, on their way to Pune, without subjected to any security drill.

The incident came to light when a senior Officer of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) monitored the lapse through the recording of the CC camera installed at the Airport.

The Home Ministry, while ordering a probe into the breach of security at the Airport, had also sought a report into the incident, the sources added.
