CBI books Delhi based firms for allegedly duping Union Bank of Rs 53 crore

New Delhi/UNI:  The Central Bureau of Investigation has booked two Delhi based firms and its directors, unknown others for allegedly duping the Union Bank of Rs 53 crore.

According to probe agency sources, it was on Union Bank's complaint a FIR was filed by the CBI against these private companies, a borrower and its directors (guarantor), and in the case it has been alleged that they had obtained cash credits facilities and bank guarantees from Union Bank, East Patel Nagar.

It was further alleged that the gurantor company created equitable mortgage of an already sold out property in favour of the bank as security for the credit facilities available by the said borrower company and it did not repay the loan amount taken from the bank declaring it as a NPA.

The total amount was to the tune of Rs 53 crore.
