Businessman shot dead in Guwahati

Guwahati, Feb 21 (IBNS): A businessman was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Guwahati on Wednesday evening. 

The incident took place at Kailashnagar area under Hatigaon police station in the city at around 8-30 pm.

According to the reports, two bikers shot the businessman, who has been identified as Hemanta Chauseria, while he returned from his wholesale shop.

The businessman was immediately rushed to a city based private hospital but doctor declared him brought dead.

Police have recovered one 9mm fired cartridge from the area.

Guwahati city police has started investigation into the incident.
