Lucknow, Mar 12 (IBNS): Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Tuesday said her party will not form an alliance with the Congress in any state, media reports said.

"In the meeting it was reiterated once again that the BSP will not go for any electoral understanding with the Congress in any state," said a BSP press statement as reported by NDTV.

Mayawati and Samajwadi Party recently announced that they will contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls together in Uttar Pradesh.

Mayawati's announcement came just days before the nation is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls.

The dates for the Lok Sabha polls were announced on Sunday.
