BSF men killed in Kashmir militant attack

Srinagar, Aug 16 (IBNS) A day after independence day, militants struck in Kashmir killing at least two BSF (Border Security Force) personnel and seriously injuring four others in Koil area of South Kashmir's Pulwama town Saturday afternoon.

According to sources, the militants opened indiscriminate fire on a BSF party patrolling on road near  India Air Force Base. The party
came under heavy firing leaving two dead and four others injured.

Police sources  said that deceased BSF jawans are an assistant sub-inspector and a head constable.

Soon after attack more reinforcements were rushed to the area to nab the attackers.
