Jammu/UNI: Alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration bid and neutralised one intruder along the international border in the Arnia sector of Jammu.

The BSF spokesman on Monday said that in the intervening night of July 30-31, the vigilant BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the international border in the Arnia area, and one intruder was observed approaching the fence.

"The alert troops neutralised one intruder and thwarted the infiltration attempt," he added.

Earlier, one intruder was shot dead by BSF troops on June 1 in the Samba sector.
