| @indiablooms | Dec 13, 2023, at 07:48 am

Brasilia: Brazil's first lady Rosangela Lula da Silva's X handle was breached by hackers, who then exploited her account to disseminate explicit pornographic images, the Brazilian media reported.

Earlier in the day, various posts featuring offensive and pornographic content were reportedly published on the Brazilian president's wife's X account.

Rosangela Lula da Silva's account is currently not blocked, but not a single post is visible on her page.

The federal police will launch an investigation into the incident, CNN Brazil said.

The head of Brazil's Secretariat of Social Communication, Paulo Pimenta, told the broadcaster that both the social media platform and the federal police had already been informed of the incident.

The police confirmed to CNN Brazil it would look into the matter.
