Body of militant recovered, another nabbed in Anantnag

Srinagar, Jun 27 (UNI): The body of a militant was recovered while another was captured in an injured condition in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Thursday, official sources said.

A search operation was launched at Shaligoli Marhama Waghama, Bijbehara in Anantnag district this morning after some firing shots were heard late Wednesday night.

During searches, bullet-riddled body of a militant, identified as Adil Ahmad reportedly belonging to Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH), was recovered from the orchards. Another ultra - Arif Hussain Bhat - was arrested in an injured condition.

It was not immediately clear how the militant was killed or injured, they said, adding that police have registered a case and started investigation.
