Bangalore, July 26 (IBNS): BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa said he will meet the Karnataka Governor and stake claim to form the government on Friday.

He told reporters: "Today, we will meet the Governor at 10 am to stake claim to form the government. I will request him to hold oath ceremony today itself."

Yeddyurappa has earlier served as the CM of the southern state.

The 14-month-old Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka failed to prove its majority in the trust vote on Tuesday evening and fell.

The coalition could only get 99 votes as compared to 105 of the BJP.
