BJP suspends Madhya Pradesh leader named in Vyapam case

Bhopal, Jul 17 (IBNS) A day after the CBI filed an FIR against him in the Vyapam scam, the BJP has suspended its leader Gulab Singh Kirar.

The suspension order was issued on Thursday, reports said.

Kirar, said to be a close associate of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan,  is a member of the Madhya Pradesh Backward Class and Minority Welfare Commission and enjoys a minister of state rank.

He was  among 160 people named in FIRs the CBI had registered on Wednesday.

Last year, he  was also named by SIT as one of the accused in a medical test racket in Gwalior.
