BJP likely to extend budget session beyond Aug 14
The session began on July 7 with the government struggling to push through crucial legislations in the House.
“Parliament session can be extended beyond 14th August,” senior BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
The Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government had failed to introduce the Insurance Bill in the Rajya Sabha increasing the foreign investment cap from 26 percent to 49 percent.
The government was also ken to push through a new proposal bringing changes to the guidelines how judges are promoted or transferred.
