BJP a machine of lies : Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 20 (IBNS) Election heat in Delhi continued to soar as Aam Admi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday called the Bharatiya Janata Party a "machine of lies" and said the people would elect his party in the upcoming Assembly polls.

"Delhiites will script history by giving AAP the single largest majority as they want to convert those 49-days of good governance into five years... BJP is a machine of lies and rumours," Kejriwal said during a roadshow at Mandir Marg.

Delhi Assembly elections will be held on Feb. 7.

During the road show, the AAP convener spoke on issues raised during the party's Delhi Dialogue series including unauthorised colonies, women's security and Jan Lokpal.

Earlier, Kejriwal said the election is like a battle for truth for for his party.

"This election is like a 'dharma yudh' (battle for truth) for us," he told reporters.

He again asked BJP's Chie Ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi Bedi for a public debate before the Assembly polls even as the former top cop said that she will do the same on the floor of the Assembly.

"Before the debate, we want a debate on all key issues with Kiran Bedi," Kejriwal said.

Inviting Bedi for a public debate, Kejriwal had earlier tweeted: ""@thekiranbedi congrats 4 being nominated as BJP's CM candidate. I invite u 4 a public debate moderated by neutral person n telecast by all."

He also asked Bedi to 'unblock' him on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"@thekiranbedi Kiranji, i used to follow u on twitter. Now, u have blocked me on twitter. Kindly unblock me," the former Delhi CM tweeted.

Bedi accepted the challenge but said she will do it on the floor of the Assembly.

"I am accepting the challenge. I will debate in the assembly," Bedi told reporters.

She said she believes in 'delivering' and not only on 'debating'.

"Arvind Kejriwal has only been debating, I believe in delivering," she said.

Bedi said she had blocked Arvind Kejriwal's Twitter account last year when he called himself an 'anarchist'.
