Bihar: Uncle beats nephew to death in Nalanda

Biharsharif/UNI: A person was beaten to death by his uncle at Mahamadpur village under Chandi police station area in Nalanda district in wee hours today.

Police said here that one Sitaram Paswan was at his field to guard paddy crops when his uncle and cousin reached there in wee hours.

They got indulged in heated arguments with Sitaram and started beating him with lathis causing serious injuries which led to his death on the spot, police added.

"When wife of Sitaram reached the spot hearing his cries for help, his uncle and cousin escaped," police said, adding that Sitaram had died by the time his wife reached there.

The body was sent for postmortem, police further said adding that raids were being carried out to nab the culprits.
