Bihar: Nitish govt wins confidence vote
A total of 140 members of the Assembly, including 109 from Janata Dal (United), 24 from RJD, voted in favour of the confidence motion.
The BJP members did not participate in the voice vote or division. They walked out of the House.
JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar returned as the Chief Minister of the state on Feb 22.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Feb 20 stepped down ahead of a confidence vote in the state assembly that appeared necessary to prove his majority over the loyalists of Kumar, whose bid to come back as CM divided the ruling JD(U).
Kumar had earlier served as the CM of the state three times.
