Bihar: 48-year-old man shot dead in Saran

Chhapra:  A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bihar's Saran district, police said on Tuesday.

Manoj Kumar Thakur (48), a resident of Sisai village, was sleeping in the verandah of his house, police sources said.

On receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Sadar Hospital Chhapra for postmortem, the sources said.

Police have registered an FIR on the statement of the deceased's family and are investigating.
