Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay remembers Manmohan Singh's role in launching 11th Five Year Plan

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Tuesday remembered the role played by former Indian PM Manmohan Singh in launching the 11th Five Year Plan of the Himalayan Nation.

Tobgay visited the Indian Embassy in Thimpu on Tuesday and signed the condolence book in memory of the former Indian PM who is also considered as the architect of Indian economic reform.

He posted on X: "Signed the condolences book in memory of the late Dr. Manmohan Singh @Indiainbhutan . Profoundly grateful to Late PM for his unwavering support and personal friendship. Thanks to his support and cooperation, we were able to launch the 11th Five Year Plan swiftly and successfully."

Singh died last week in AIIMS.

He was 92.

Dr. Singh, who served as India's prime minister from 2004 to 2014, passed away at 92 on December 26 at AIIMS Delhi.

His last rites were performed on Saturday at Nigambodh Ghat with full state honours.
