Bhopal survivors assured reply by the Central Minister

Bhopal, Sept 14 (IBNS) Representatives of five organizations of survivors of the 1984 gas disaster in Bhopal Sunday met with Ananth Kumar, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertlizers, on the issue of additional compensation from Union Carbide, USA.

Despite his busy schedule in the city, the Minister who is in charge of all matters concerning the disaster in Bhopal gave a patient hearing to the delegation, said the organisations. 

The minister also promised to send a reply to the petition presented by the organizations for revision of figures of injury and death caused by the disaster in the curative petition for additional compensation pending before the Supreme Court of India.
