Panihati/UNI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said a ' Bhoomi Putra' of Bengal will become the chief minister of West Bengal.

Addressing a public meeting here, Shah said 130 BJP workers have been killed in West Bengal so far but not one arrest has been made.

He said after BJP comes to power here, not even one TMC worker will be killed.

"If such a thing happens, strict action will be taken," Shah said.

Appealing to the people of West Bengal to maintain peace in the remaining four phases of voting and choose their favourite candidate, Shah also assured that once the BJP government came to power after May 2 there will totally violence free state.

“I have come here to make one request. Didi has ruled for 10 years. Would it look good to give her a small farewell? So you should give her a farewell by giving 200 seats to BJP,” Shah said.

On Cooch Behar incident, the union minister said, “Didi is repeatedly saying Amit Shah must resign. Didi, when people will ask me to resign then I will. But you must prepare as you will have to resign on May 2.”

He alleged that CM Mamata Banerjee's advice to gherao central forces instigated people to attack CISF in Sitalkuchi.

Shah said Mamata Banerjee condoled only four people.

"She didn’t shed a single tear for Anand Burman because he belonged to a Rajvanshi community," he said.

"He wasn’t fit for her appeasement politics. This type of politics is not the culture of Bengal," he said.

“Mamata Banerjee still has time to condole the fifth killing (Anand Burman) and apologise to the people of Bengal for her speech,” he said.

“Except for this one incident (Sitalkuchi), elections in West Bengal have been conducted peacefully so far. I promise that after BJP comes to power here political and poll-related violence will end in Bengal,” Shah said.

The union home minister said, ”What happened in Sitalkuchi is saddening.  Unknown locals tried to snatch weapons of the central force and the incident happened after that. But the way it is being politicised is sad.”
